Facilities

The most recent upgrade of the Club’s facilities commenced in 2001 when the Club’s lighting facilities were upgraded from two courts serviced by single globed 1000W towers to the latest technology halogen floodlighting on all six courts.  The total cost of this upgrade was $75,000 fully funded by the Club.  More recently, the lights were re-globed in late 2005 to once again bring the lighting levels to a high level for the Club’s thriving Night Tennis competition and social play.

The Liston Tennis Club’s clubrooms were upgraded during the 2006 year, completed in September 2006 and officially re-opened to the members in November 2006 by Clubmember and Premier of Victoria, Steve Bracks.  The cost of the Clubroom refurbishment exceeded $300,000 and was jointly funded by the Hobson’s Bay City Council and the Liston Tennis Club.

The six hardcourts were replaced over the 2005/06 Christmas New Year period with Rebound Ace (Air) surface at a cost in the vicinity of $200,000.  This was once again fully funded by the Club and demonstrates the continuing commitment of the Liston Tennis Club’s Committee of Management to provide the most modern facilities to all its members.
